At the moment...

In Creative Media so far I have done my Welcome/Home page, and am working on the Trailer and Synopsis page. For this page I have had to make a trailer for my movie, by cutting pieces out of it. I am now thinking of maybe doing a voice over for it... but I'm not quite sure if I should or not, because there isn't really too much to say.

Next lesson I will put my trailer onto the page and add the synopsis. As for this lesson, I'm going to work out what I want on my poster and maybe start it using Photoshop or another program.

Reflection on WISE Project

This year throughout WISE I have been researching information on children with cancer in Australia, and the Starlight Children's Foundation. From this information, and pictures that I had found, I made a short film to raise awareness. Once completed I went to Mr Powell to ask if my movie could be put onto the StHildasTube (YouTube account). I am very happy with my progress and final result of the WISE Project I called "A Wish for Chronically Ill Children". I had successfully used the 20 hours time frame, also.

I am now working on the oral presentation that we have to present on our movie in the next few weeks in our next lesson.

Today I handed in my WISE project 'A Wish for Chronically Ill Children' to Miss Bardsley. It was different to the original one that I had made as my previous PC computer died, so I had to make a new one (but very similar) in another program on my new Apple Mac computer. I am happy with my movie though and have seem to fit everything in fairly well over the past few terms since WISE started.

In todays lesson Ariana and I helped Lauren with her WISE movie about bullying, and doing some re-enacted scenes.

Update on video:
With my movie I am still in the process of editing and changing a few things which I am so far managing to do successfully. I have quite good time management with this project so far and am quite happy with my movie.

Update on video:
To get my video out there and for people to see it I have re-thought about my original idea: placing it on YouTube and maybe at Assembly.

For the YouTube option I then thought how do I get the school to see it?.. Mr Crawley updated the school website and along with that he introduced the StHildasTube on YouTube where videos on hings about whats happening at school and things that have been done etc are put on. I am thinking about possibly talking to Mr Crawley and showing him my video and asking for permission to put my movie on the StHildasTube.

Update on video
For my movie I am still researching for reliable facts and statistics on children with cancer in Australia, but am looking for more recent ones also as I only have facts from 2001. I think if I had something from more recently it will be more accurate.

Today Mrs Baker gave us the criteria for our WISE presentation.. It has made me think about what I am actually up to and where I am heading with the criteria areas. At the moment I'm thinking I am doing pretty well with the blogs and process of the movie. Maybe in the Blue criteria for most things..?
